People write poems about love for life, for people, for God. For some, they turn out to be very good, for others, weak, naive. This is understandable and natural, because the level of skill among people is different. There are authors who address poems to themselves. What is the reason? It is impossible to give an unambiguous answer to this question, because everything depends on the person.

Step 1

Due to a sharp change in the hormonal background, adolescents perceive everything too aggravated, become touchy and vulnerable, conflict with parents, relatives and teachers. It seems to them that adults do not understand them at all, are indifferent to their problems. If unrequited love is added to this, the student may fall into a severe depression, deciding that there is no happiness in life, no one needs him, no one loves or understands him. To escape these oppressive thoughts, the child composes love poems addressed to himself. Such poems are a kind of "medicine" for the depression that has arisen. Such creativity speaks of a grudge against the outside world.

Step 2

The opposite situation can also happen, for example, an impressionable teenager is so happy, having achieved reciprocity from a loved one, that he is overwhelmed with emotions, he wants to tell the whole world that he is loved. So we get lines about self-love. In such verses, you can discern a note of joy and happiness.

Step 3

At a more mature age, this can be explained by other reasons. For example, a person for some reason does not develop relationships with relatives, friends and colleagues, he cannot arrange his personal life in any way. He is considered arrogant, while he is simply too impressionable. Creating love poems, the author seems to be running away from unpleasant reality, explaining to everyone else that he is not really arrogant at all, he has a lot of merits and he has something to love for.

Step 4

There are times when the author creates poems about love for himself, being sincerely confident in his irresistibility, high qualities, charm. He considers himself a model, a standard of all virtues. Such a person exalts himself. This is already a cross between the strongest egoism (on the verge of egocentrism) and mental disorder.
