There is no need to try to form a behavioral skill according to several criteria at the same time. Only one action should be practiced at a time. A competent teacher achieves success in solving one problem, and only then moves on to another. Try to break the task down into several components and work them out sequentially. Learning with this approach will go faster.

Step 3

Before raising the criterion, use the scale of reinforcement of the result achieved so far. If you are going to introduce a new criterion, weaken the previous ones for a while. Reinforcement should be positive, swearing and pointless preaching should be non-pedagogical.

The skill program should be designed so that when you make a significant leap forward, you can anticipate how to reinforce the behavior later. One must be ready for such a leap, it is very important for the student emotionally.

You shouldn't change your coach half way. It is advisable that the formation of the skill was carried out under the guidance of one person.
