Death sometimes seems to be the simplest and most logical way out of a difficult life situation. Easy and quick relief from suffering - what could be better? But if you try to soberly assess the reasons for the desire to commit suicide and the possible consequences of this act, it turns out that suicide is not an option.
Instructions
Step 1
If you think that death for you is the best way out of the situation, that it will save you from suffering, it is good to remember that there are no ways to take your life with a guarantee, quickly and painlessly. But becoming disabled after that is quite possible. If you try to poison, the body will resist - therefore, it is very likely that you will be found in a pool of feces and vomit, followed by at least long and unpleasant gastric lavage procedures. And if you have been unconscious for a long time, bedsores may appear. Jumping from the roof - injuries, fractures, long and painful treatment, possible paralysis and the prospect of "walking by himself" all his life. Or death, but long and painful. A headshot also does not guarantee death - but brain damage can turn you into a disabled person. Trying to cut the veins can damage the tendons, impairing the mobility of the hand, and gangrene can also develop. And this is unpleasant. And so on and so forth. There are simply no “good” methods of suicide that guarantee the absence of such consequences.
Step 2
And if the attempt to die is successful? Think about what kind of "pig" you put on your family and friends. Any death is a shock, but suicide is usually perceived more acutely than death from illness or accident. And they, already heartbroken, will most likely have to explain themselves with the police. In addition, they will, of course, bear the considerable expenses for the funeral. But this is not the end of the matter: by your act, you can seriously shorten the life of your loved ones. Heart attacks, strokes, a sharp exacerbation of chronic diseases … As a result, you may be not only a suicide, but also a murderer.
Step 3
“When I die, you’ll regret it, and here you’ll cry,” thinks a five-year-old child who was not given a candy or was not allowed to walk, presenting in colors the scene of his funeral and crying parents. Is it funny? But you almost certainly had such thoughts as a child. Try to remember this - and think about how the scale of your today's troubles could be perceived by you, but in 10-15 years.
Step 4
Make a list of the problems you want to avoid - write them by hand or print them out. This will allow you to step back from them and look at the situation a little from the outside. Are there any among them that cannot be solved in another way? Are there situations that cannot be corrected? What's your worst case scenario? Now compare that to all the risks of suicide. In 99% of cases, death for a person is the worst possible consequence. Exceptions are rare. For example, to be imprisoned under a “pedophile” article and to “rake” inmates for the entire long term in full. And if we are talking about unhappy love, a "deuce" in a quarter, leaving the institute or the need to pay a loan - these troubles cannot be compared in scale either with death or with the problems that you will have if an attempt to commit suicide is unsuccessful. …
Step 5
See your doctor. The self-preservation instinct is the most powerful for any healthy living being. And if you are tempted to commit suicide, this is a clear indication that you need medical attention. Do not be ashamed of the very fact of going to a doctor. Consultations that help to put your "head in order" are more in vogue now, there is nothing shameful in this, and no one will hang the label "crazy" on you. In contrast, by the way, from the situation when you will be treated after a suicide attempt.
