Society defines pessimists as people who see everything around them in black. For some reason, it is easier for them to see the negative manifestation of events and worry about it. Some consider this a character trait, and in medicine this condition is called "dysthymia". It turns out that such a condition can and should be fought.
Instructions
Step 1
Find the roots of your pessimism. These can be reasons associated with a difficult childhood, the influence of pessimistic parents, or long-term communication with people experiencing depression. Maybe everyone you know considers you a pessimist? If any of the above has happened in your life, and you don't want to be a pessimist anymore, stop feeling sorry for yourself and take care of yourself.
Step 2
Use introspection. To do this, keep a personal diary and write down all your reasoning and conclusions. Realize that man is a creature conducive to life, birth, development and growth. Pay attention to the children. If everything is okay, they smile. But a sincere smile is characteristic not only of children, but also of adults. Analyze a couple of thoughts: “I was born. What for?" and "I have already won because I was born." It is curious that the chance of being born to a person is one in three hundred thousand billion, so there is no need to waste time. It's time to make your dreams come true.
Step 3
Stop planning the negative outcome of your affairs. Create a distraction for yourself. It can be any subject, phrase or color that will just stop you. Then smile and think about how things could turn out differently. Remember, negative experiences are experiences too. Sometimes, due to an incorrect assessment of events, a person can mistake the truly good for the bad.
Step 4
Be happy with yourself. Your thoughts should work towards self-esteem. Understand and realize that there is a direct relationship: I am happy with myself - I am happy with my life. Draw an image of yourself every day as you would like to be. Try to focus your attention on those qualities of character that you like and would like in yourself. At the same time, try to behave in accordance with the drawn image.
