There is no sadder situation for a creative person than a lack of inspiration. In this state, hands give up, I do not want to create, although there are some ideas and thoughts. What to do? How can you awaken your inspiration?
Create an inspiring environment
For all people, a surge of inspiration occurs in a different environment, under the influence of various factors. Someone needs to sit at home, wrapped in a blanket and making themselves a delicious berry tea. For some, it is necessary to go for an evening walk, wander through the empty streets under the light of lanterns. And someone does catch inspiration, asking for a visit to friends. You need to think about what atmosphere and what environment around you last influenced in some way. When you succeed in realizing and remembering, you need to try to recreate that previous situation.
Change your daily routine
The human brain gets used to working the same way. Therefore, walking along the same road to work or school, a person ceases to notice any new or interesting details. Or, doing everything according to the usual schedule, a person simply plunges into a gray maelstrom of everyday life, the same type of thoughts and images are circling in his head from day to day. In order to avoid such a state, which has a very negative effect on creativity and, in general, on creative activity, it is worth taking and decisively changing the entire routine for at least a day.
Are you used to getting up very late on weekends? You need to set your alarm and try to get up early on Saturday morning. Are you used to eating porridge for breakfast? You need to make an effort on yourself and cook, for example, banana pancakes, and replace coffee with green tea or an invigorating ginger drink. Are you accustomed to going to school or work on a short path around the yards? It is necessary to leave the house in advance and take a walk along another road, carefully looking around, noticing some funny moments, unusual objects, etc. All such actions will help the brain "shake up", attract inspiration lured by fresh creative ideas that are born in the mind.

Another feature of the human brain is to work in an enhanced mode in a multitasking situation. Many people experience a surge of inspiration when there is no way to get creative. For example, on a day when all the time is scheduled by the minute, or at those moments when you need to have time to redo a bunch of different things. Deadlines are very motivating and creative.
If there is no prospect of busy days on the horizon, you can independently - in an "artificial" way - come up with things and obligations that would take a lot of time and effort. Do some spring cleaning, work at home, go jogging twice, cook a tricky dinner, etc. Under the influence of such activity, the brain will "move", and inspiration will not keep itself waiting long.
New impressions
Usually inspiration awakens under the influence of new vivid impressions. You can get them by going to a concert or exhibition, watching a cool new movie in the cinema, reading a book, listening to a new album of your favorite band, and so on. Communication with people, both in reality and on the Internet, is very effective in influencing inspiration. Both old friends and new acquaintances can charge you with energy and new ideas, strength for creativity.
New impressions can also be obtained in more everyday situations. For example, having brewed some kind of unusual tea for myself, leafing through drawings and photographs of various illustrators and photographers on the Internet, sorting out the rubble of old things, which I still could not reach. After all, the old and seemingly perfectly familiar sometimes evokes a surge of inspiration and acts like something new.
