The onset of summer is associated with the holiday season. And very often, after a great holiday, a return to gray everyday life causes many difficulties and problems, which are considered to be common laziness. Today's opinion of psychologists has changed dramatically, and these phenomena are called "post-vacation syndrome."
What are the reasons for the post-vacation syndrome?
Lack of time. Doctors noticed that the length of the vacation should be at least three weeks. The first week is spent on acclimatization - you also need to get used to rest. During the second week, the body actually rests. And the third week is necessary for the restructuring to the previous life.
Failure of biorhythms. People who like to sleep in the morning can relax while on vacation and get out of bed almost at lunchtime. Making your body wake up early a couple of days before going to work is an unrealistic task. And the result of this lack of sleep is lethargy and inactivity at work.
Overload. As a rule, workaholics plan to do a lot of things during their holidays. It is absolutely unrealistic to do everything in a few days of vacation. It is a pity that work and household chores take all the energy and free time. When, then, to live? And workaholism sooner or later leads to breakdowns. Should you bring yourself to this?
Responsibility. There is a category of people who approach everything too responsibly. After the vacation, they are enveloped in anxiety: how to do all the accumulated cases? The main thing is not to panic. If the questions were waiting for your appearance, then they are not so important. Plan everything out and do it gradually, and rest in the evening.
Strong contrast. It is the vacation that will make it clear what does not suit you in life. If going to work causes a storm of negative emotions, then you should think about changing jobs. And if you were on vacation without your significant other and you are oppressed by the return to your husband (wife), most likely, family problems develop into a serious conflict.
Against the background of the post-vacation syndrome, frequent thoughts about changing jobs begin to visit. This is not surprising. Rest makes it possible to understand yourself and understand what you want in the future. But do not rush and write a letter of resignation in a rush. Changes in life must be started carefully. Immediately think about what exactly does not suit you in your work: the team, the strict boss, the attitude of the employees. Perhaps the problem can be solved by moving to another department. And do not rush to leave to nowhere. Think carefully and weigh everything, and also start looking for a new job, while not losing material income from the old one.
And so that returning to work from vacation does not overshadow you, arrange a small holiday for colleagues - buy a cake, gather everyone for tea, give small souvenirs and share your emotions and impressions.
