When the "muse comes", it is more pleasant and easier to do creative work, whether it is creating a poem, music, paintings, or just writing a school essay. There is no unconditional “recipe” for inspiration, but a person can create certain conditions, and then the long-awaited muse may visit him.

Instructions

Step 1

First of all, take an interest in the work you do. If you are not interested in the task at hand, inspiration is unlikely to descend on you. For example, let's say you decide to learn English, but you can't tune in to it. Imagine in detail what will change in your life when the goal is achieved: new vacancies will open up for you, you will be able to read English books, easily communicate with foreigners. Find fun ways to learn a language, like taking a trip.

Step 2

Think back to what inspired you before. Physics Lev Landau, for example, new ideas were most often visited in the society of beautiful women. Perhaps, under some circumstances, it was also especially easy and interesting for you to work. Try to reproduce these circumstances to catch inspiration again.

Step 3

Observe rituals. Fyodor Dostoevsky worked after sunset, and composer Brahms carefully cleaned his shoes before starting to compose music. To get inspiration to visit you more often, create a special atmosphere for it. Then it will "know" when you are waiting for it.

Step 4

Clear your mind. Learn to meditate or just deeply relax while listening to music or contemplating something beautiful. If thoughts, plans and doubts are constantly swarming in your head, there may simply not be room for inspiration in this mess. Many geniuses, for example, Nikola Tesla, argued that they did not create their creations at all … Often a person feels like only a guide, drawing inspiration from somewhere above. Someone calls it God or the universal mind, and someone believes that the right decisions simply pop up from the subconscious. But the fact is this: a person who knows how to calm his mind finds it easier to find new solutions, thoughts, ideas, that is, to catch inspiration.

Step 5

Listen to beautiful music. The ancient sages said that music creates a space for our souls to inhabit, but modern scientists say that it increases the mental activity of a person.

Step 6

Get out into nature. The seashore, spring forest, snow-capped mountain ranges and other untouched landscapes are filled with harmony that people often lack. If you can't get out of town, take a leisurely stroll through the quiet park. Do not dive into thinking about work - just look around, appreciate how simple and perfect the creations of nature are.

Step 7

If you can't find inspiration, and you still need to do work (for example, writing a diploma), just give yourself the direction to start working. Sit down and write the first word. Even if you do not yet know what you will be writing about, do not panic, do not accuse yourself of mediocrity and do not quit. After all, as Thomas Edison said, genius is only one percent of inspiration and 99 percent of hard work.
