It is possible to reveal a lie when a person's gestures contradict what he says. For example, if the interlocutor zealously convinces you of something, but at the same time shakes his head negatively, most likely he is lying. It is possible to determine a lie simply by individual gestures: be wary if during a conversation the interlocutor often touches his nose and lips, gesticulates excessively, often wiggles his fingers and shifts from foot to foot.

An abundance of irrelevant facts helps to recognize a lie. If your interlocutor is not talking to the point, he tells a lot of small details and insignificant details, he is probably lying, or he is not saying something, or you have taken him by surprise, and he is taking time to decide whether to tell you the truth. But if your interlocutor interrupts his story in order to supplement it with some fact or clarification, this, on the contrary, testifies to his sincerity.
Step 3
You can tell the truth from the lie by the emotions shown by the person. This is due to the fact that all emotions are reflected on the face in the form of certain expressions that cannot be controlled. Simply put, a sincere smile is markedly different from a fake one.
Step 4
Pay attention to inaccuracies and contradictions in what you are told. If you have any doubts about the veracity of the interlocutor, ask him as many clarifying questions as possible or ask him to repeat the story in reverse order. Most liars will quickly get confused by facts, especially if the story told is just made up.
Step 5
As soon as it seems to you that your interlocutor is not honest, state it directly. If the person was telling the truth, they are more likely to frown, irritate, and look you in the eye. If a person is lying, he will feel uncomfortable and embarrassed, turn away and look away.
Step 6
Learning to recognize a lie based on any one attribute is not enough. That is, you should not suspect of lying to everyone who rubs his nose during a conversation or looks to the side. The nose may actually itch, and the look to the side may be due to the interlocutor's shyness or the fact that he is focusing on something. Therefore, always pay attention to the integrity of the picture, namely the combination of the above signs. The more there are, the higher the likelihood that a person is lying.
