Each of us has a close friend, playmate, support and support from birth. This friend is ourselves. Oddly enough, but in the stream of endless days, reporting periods and filling out various papers, we are gradually losing touch with him. We stop hearing and reacting to the advice and wise thoughts that he throws at us - just not demanding anything in return. It becomes more interesting what some learned "guru" says on TV than an inner voice. Where does the desire to change oneself come from and should it be done?

Step 1

About individuality. “There has never been such a person like you before, and now, too, there is no one like you, and will not be. Realize how much respect Existence has shown you. You are a masterpiece, unrepeatable, incomparable, completely unique,”- Osho. Why did you even decide that someone else knows and understands life better than you? Perhaps he read many books, watched dozens of scientific films, traveled a lot, but this is available to everyone. If a person is alive he has the opportunity to develop. However, while you sit in inactivity in the kitchen and insist that there is no happiness in life, someone is writing another dissertation and is very satisfied with this very life. Only this does not mean that you are worse. It's just that everyone has their own priorities and goals. Comparison is a bad habit. People initially come into the world with different abilities. Think for yourself, if there were only poets among us, who would build houses? Or locksmiths, then most likely there would not be a single theater in the whole world. The whole world is made up of contradictions, and that's great. Since you have come to this space and time, it means that someone really needed it. Stop feeling sorry for yourself, better think about what you lack to feel your own worth: education, upbringing, maybe beauty? All of the above is a profitable business. The main thing is to want. Love yourself. Go to the mirror, look in your eyes, smile and say, “Hi. A person like you is no longer in the whole world."

Step 2

Get rid of fear. “Embrace your fears, let them do the worst - and cut them out when they try to take advantage of it. If you don't, they will begin to clone themselves like mushrooms, surround you from all sides and close the road to the life you want to choose. Every turn that you are afraid of is just an emptiness that pretends to be an irresistible hell”, - R. Bach. The feeling of fear is closely related to the instinct for self-preservation. In those cases when it saves us from rash acts, saving us from everyday storms and unpleasant consequences - this is very good. But, as soon as you feel that it interferes with your life, you urgently need to stop being afraid. Now it would be logical to start talking about inner self-control, meditation, faith, but all of the above is suitable only for very enlightened people, to whom you and I are far away. Therefore, experts suggest starting to be afraid on purpose. It's not a joke. When you try it, you will realize that doing something through force is not only impossible, but also tiresome. As soon as the next time a feeling of anxiety appears, start increasing it - consciously, as a result, this activity will simply get bored, and you will be able to go about your business with peace of mind.

Step 3

The question of acceptance. “Stop judging yourself. Instead, start accepting yourself with all your flaws, weaknesses, mistakes, failures. Don't demand perfection from yourself. You demand the impossible and you will be disappointed. After all, you are, after all, a human being,”- Osho. How often are you dissatisfied with something in yourself: height, weight, financial situation, husband or wife is somehow not like that? There is nothing surprising in this. All people suffer from absolutely the same problems, it is just that not all of them are put on public display. The saying: "The grass is greener behind someone else's fence" characterizes the average statistical outlook on life in the best possible way. Finally, stop judging yourself. If you repeat from day to day that everything is bad, it will not get better. Only worse, you can earn some form of mental disorder. Understand that you will no longer have another height, nose, eye color - this is something that is given from birth, just like fingerprints. As for weight or spouse, it is easier here. You can lose weight and replace your spouse if you wish. But this is just for fun. In fact, the main task is to concentrate our attention on achievable goals, to understand what we really want and not to turn off halfway. The path to success is never easy, but if you don't start moving, you will remain like that hero at the crossroads. The phrase: “I love and accept myself as I am” - should become a life setting. Start the day with a smile, the universe clearly reacts to our mood and gives what we are waiting for. However, don't confuse this with expectation.
