Reasons for development

This type of depression is considered a genetic disorder, that is, a predisposition that can be inherited. But it is worth paying attention to the fact that this is just a predisposition to him and this does not mean that a person must necessarily be sick with it. It all depends on the environment in which the person is.

Symptoms and signs of manic depressive psychosis

Often the disease manifests itself in people who have reached the age of thirty. In this case, the disease develops slowly. Often, the person himself and his loved ones notice this only after a while. First of all, the psycho-emotional background changes, it becomes unstable. A person is usually in a depressed state, then he has an overly excited mood. Moreover, a bad mood prevails more often and longer than a good one. This condition lasts from six months to several years. But if the malaise is revealed in time and the person receives timely help, then it will be easier for him to transfer this period. If a person is not helped in time, the disease can turn into depressive psychosis.

Phases of the disease

This disease has several phases, but most of it occurs in depression.

First phase. A person has a depressed mood almost all the time, and it is accompanied by rapid fatigue, weakness and lack of appetite.

Second phase. A person is constantly in a retarded state, while his mental and physical reaction decreases. He looks sleepy and doesn't care about anything.

Third phase. Intellectual lethargy appears. A person cannot concentrate on any object, for example, working at a computer, writing, reading, and so on. Working capacity is also greatly reduced.

In this state, thoughts are directed in a negative direction. He feels guilty in everything, even if he has nothing to do with anything, and constantly speaks of dissatisfaction with himself.

Depression treatment

Manic depressive syndrome needs urgent treatment, and the sooner the better. Treatment can only be carried out by a specialist. It is carried out in several stages. The drugs are selected individually for each person, depending on the complexity of the disease.
