It is necessary

Four rows of words, ten each, written on a sheet of paper, a stopwatch, a blank sheet of paper, a pen

Instructions

Step 1

It is necessary to write on a piece of paper four rows of words of any orientation in the amount of ten pieces. The first row of words will be for auditory memory, the second for visual memory, the third for motor-auditory, and the fourth row for combined perception.

Step 2

Determining auditory memory. The memory test subject should sit at a table with a sheet of paper and a pen on it. The second person begins to read the words from the first line, with the gap between each word being three seconds.

Step 3

The person listens attentively to the spoken words and, after a 10-second break, tries to reproduce on paper what he has managed to remember. The time for this is given unlimited, but it is not recommended to remember more than 5-10 minutes.

Step 4

After ten minutes of rest, the helping person gives the subject a list of words from the second row, and he, reading them to himself, tries to remember them. Also, after a 10 second break, he writes down everything that he remembered.

Step 5

After another ten minutes of rest, the auditory motor memory test begins. The helper should read the words written in the third row, while the subject at this time tries to repeat them in a whisper and write them out through the air. After 10 seconds, the person captures all the memorized words.

Step 6

The last test for the combined type of memory includes all the techniques of the previous paragraphs. The second person shows words from the fourth row and says each one out loud. The subject repeats these words in a whisper and writes out with a pen through the air. Then again, after a 10-second break, he writes down what he managed to remember on paper.

Step 7

This is followed by the calculation of the results. The line where the largest number of words will be reproduced indicates that it is the type of memory corresponding to the line that is more developed than all the others.
