Few people have not come across the hypocritical behavior of people in their lives. Feelings, it is worth noting, are not the best after such life stories. But it turns out that hypocrisy is multifaceted and much more common than one might imagine.
First, you need to figure out what is behind this repulsive, disgusting word "hypocrisy." Most explanatory dictionaries of the Russian language agree that insincere behavior, purposeful malicious pretense, duplicity in order to hide their negative motives and true feelings in order to win over them can be considered hypocrisy.
The Greek word translated hypocrisy literally means "theatrical actor", that is, we are talking about people playing a role, and not behaving naturally and at ease. And when it is done with selfish and malicious motives, others suffer greatly.
Hypocrisy is directly related to lies and deceit, because a person, in an effort to achieve his own, goes for cunning, justifying himself and his actions. They say about such people: "there is nothing sacred for him," "ready to walk over corpses," "he will stop at nothing."
Moreover, the majority of hypocrites are well versed in psychology and skillfully manipulate other people. Therefore, you should not blame yourself if you suddenly fall for their bait. After all, they probably distorted facts, hid information, presented everything in a favorable light (for themselves or for you) and spoke in a feigned voice.
Several types of hypocrisy can be noted:
- political;
- religious;
- everyday.
The first group includes the endless promises of deputies and other government officials to change the situation in the country, improve the economy, provide free medicine, education, and so on. Often, the matter does not go further than words, and these words are pronounced only for the purpose of winning over people and getting more votes from them in the elections.
Religious hypocrisy means teaching people the laws of God, which the teachers themselves (priests, pastors, teachers) maliciously violate.
And to the everyday can be attributed to the hypocrisy that people go to in everyday life when communicating with each other.
Hypocrisy is always harmful, so you need to learn to recognize it and stay away from people who manifest it.
