Something is missing

Even for an adult, it is normal to want to take part in a game. However, there must be a certain measure for everything. Gamblers are able to spend days on end in the virtual space, losing track of time, money spent and lost profits. At the same time, their irresponsibility can cause a growing coma of problems that sooner or later will have to be solved.

Such people lack the thrill and start playing slot machines, underground casinos or computer games. It seems that they did not have enough time to play enough in childhood and are trying to fill in the gaps.

In fact, in severe cases, a person is "drawn into gambling addiction" when he is subject to a state of depression: a series of troubles occurs, and the broken person loses the will to resist and the meaning of his existence. In another, simpler version, a person was initially brought up quite infantile - without initiative and not independent. He has problems with the structuring of time: he does not know what he can do, he does not like to work, and there are no stable hobbies and hobbies. In a word, there is no inner harmony of the personality and there is a need to find at least something of interest.

At the first stage, the person takes an interest in a particular game and does not feel addiction. His passion is selective and manifests itself from time to time. The person believes that he is able to stop during the time. At this stage, passion is formed - a person finds how to get rid of boredom and loneliness, and also gets away from unsolved problems.

Game addiction

At the heart of the desire for gambling addiction lies a person's personal dissatisfaction, and with the help of the game he seeks to virtually realize his needs in a sense of his own worth. Psychologists note similar features and principles of addiction among gamers with alcoholics and drug addicts. A person who is not able to meet the challenges of fate and solve his own problems tends to run away from them. An alcoholic seeks solace in drinking, a drug addict in psychotropic drugs, and a gambling addict in virtual reality.

Despite the subconscious understanding of the meaninglessness of the game process, a person spends all his time and money on continuing a negative passion. He is satisfied with such a departure from real problems, because only in the game does he feel like a real hero. A desire is formed to hide his hobby from relatives and friends, which develops over time into the habit of lying about and without reason. The player does not admit his addiction and declares that at any time he can calmly end this hobby. However, such a moment does not come for a long time.

So a person gradually loses life values and guidelines, he loses the will to fight. In his heart he is a player, but in fact he goes with the flow. At the same time, a low mood is observed, interest in active participation in the life of the family and society, and later any social activity, disappears. In everyday life, he shows apathy, insecurity and increased anxiety.
