There is still no definite answer to the question: why do people drink alcohol. Different groups and sectors of society respond to it in different ways. Almost everyone who drinks alcohol has an explanation.

Why do they drink alcohol?
Why do they drink alcohol?

For some, drinking alcohol is a relaxation of the body, tired of the constant stress and rhythm of modern life, for others - getting out of depression or raising the mood, for others - maintaining traditions or so as not to look like a black sheep in a team. Sometimes drinking alcohol is an expression of protest to a parent or wife. They drink to smooth out loneliness, pour grief, it is better to fall asleep or relieve hangover. There are thousands of reasons, and for each they are valid. There is only one thing in common in these explanations - a departure from reality. Scientist A. Kempiński associated drinking with various styles: contact, when alcohol is used to establish contacts with other people, neurasthenic - to relieve nervous irritation and tension, with bacchanal - to disconnect and forget in an alcoholic intoxication, with heroic - to give oneself a feeling of confidence and with suicidal - when there is a desire to commit suicide. Other scientists believe that alcohol consumption is due to only three main reasons: salutary - with the ability to relieve stress, forget, relax, cheer yourself up, companionable - when meeting with friends and family, or just friends, as well as in search of thrills - for satisfaction taste needs and savoring an alcoholic beverage. Humanity has been familiar with alcohol for several millennia. During this time, many nationalities have developed unwritten traditions of its use. But at the same time, one thing was always extracted from alcohol - its ability to change the state of mind in order to calm down, lift the mood, relax. But this state is always fake, artificial. Pleasure is not achieved by deserved peace of mind, but by simple chemical stimulation of the brain centers that govern feelings and mood. These centers are precisely responsible for controlling behavior, the ability to look realistically at life and their place in it. And by deceiving the brain, a person who takes alcohol deceives himself and for the time of intoxication makes up for what he lacks in real life: the ability to communicate, have fun, experience difficulties, relax. At the same time, alcohol covers the deficit in the ability to control one's feelings and regulate one's behavior and state.
