Low self-esteem interferes with normal life self-realization. A person who is not confident in himself and his strengths often experiences difficulties in building a career and personal relationships with other people. There are some ways to boost your self-esteem.

Necessary

  • - large mirror;
  • - armchair;
  • - general notebook;
  • - pen;
  • - gym membership;
  • - visit to a beauty salon;
  • - participation in charity events.

Instructions

Step 1

Complete Exercise # 1 - Reflection in the Mirror. To do this, you need to admire yourself every day in front of the mirror. Choose a large one-piece mirror, make yourself comfortable in front of it (for example, in an armchair). Focus on your appearance without berating yourself for any flaws. Try to notice your benefits, something that beautifies you. You must feel a sense of love and admiration for yourself. Remember, your job is to learn to respect yourself. Compliment yourself, praise your eyes, hair, figure. After 5-6 such sessions, your reaction to your own appearance will change in a positive direction.

Step 2

Do the second exercise every day - "Recording achievements". Start a diary (take a generic notebook with a nice cover or a diary). Write down even your smallest victories in it. After all, you need to know what it is you are doing that is valuable in your own eyes and in the eyes of other people, and how many daily achievements you have. And just forget about possible failures - everyone has them. Do not spare time for such reports, remember that you are thus working on yourself.

Step 3

Move on to the third exercise: Think of yourself. Mentally, or better on paper, form an image of your ideal self, "drawing" all the details, actions, appearance. And then you need to learn to match it, it's not so difficult. Think of all this as some kind of game that can help you beat your "opponent" - self-doubt. Come up with your life philosophy!

Step 4

In addition to doing the above exercises, use some life principles to help you cope with low self-esteem. Do not get carried away with pity, as this is nothing but hidden humiliation. Respect yourself, try to be a strong, full-fledged person.

Step 5

Think positively. Give up dark thoughts. Life brings you what you expect from it.

Step 6

Don't compare yourself to others, especially if it's not in your favor. Compare only yourself today with yourself yesterday.

Step 7

Do not be afraid of difficulties. Any difficulties will make you stronger, but only if you do not give in to obstacles and learn to overcome them.

Step 8

Do good. Do not refuse to help people, take care of your neighbors, take part in various charity events. All of this will contribute to your personal growth.

Step 9

Do not overuse self-criticism. Allow yourself to be imperfect. After all, you are not a hundred dollar bill for everyone to like.

Step 10

Take care of yourself, sign up for a gym. A trained strong, beautiful body has a positive effect on the inner spirit. Go to the hairdresser, update your wardrobe, make home renovations, or at least a general cleaning. All of these play an important role in enhancing self-esteem.

Step 11

Open up to new knowledge, try to learn something new every day, be curious.
