Try to stop the "chatter" of thoughts in your mind. A distracted, agitated mind has no strength, it is not able to purposefully seek solutions to problems. Calm your mind, listen to the inner silence in yourself.

Step 3

Concentrate on one thing. For example, on your breath, on any sensations of your body; on an object that you see in front of your eyes, or on a sound that you hear. You can focus on some problem that you have to solve in the near future. Anything can become an object of meditation.

Step 4

After choosing an object of concentration, keep your attention on it. Concentrating attention for a long time requires discipline of the mind, which is developed after a certain number of training sessions.

Step 5

If your mind gets distracted, clinging to some vain thoughts, just let them float by. Imagine that you are sitting on the bank of a river and see fallen leaves floating by you: they just exist, but they do not change you. Let your vain thoughts just be, without changing your essence.

Step 6

Don't expect anything from meditation. Meditation is healing, but you shouldn't take it as a pill. As you enter the state of meditation, you begin an internal dialogue with yourself. This inner concentration is healing in itself.

Control your breathing while meditating. Make it calm, measured. Along with your breathing, your whole body will calm down.
