There are a number of techniques by which a person is invited to enter a state of silence and silence. After a long stay in it, you can really get rid of a number of psychological problems, restore internal balance, recharge with energy and heal from many diseases.

The practice of silence today is most often offered by alternative medicine specialists. But some psychologists also adopt it, and then successfully apply it in their work. Prolonged silence can get rid of neuroses and not only them.

Traditionally, it is believed that psychologists and psychoanalysts help a person answer difficult life questions and find solutions to problems through conversation. The client or patient should talk about his feelings, experiences and suffering, and only then he will be helped to find a solution.

Example of a Silence Healing Session

One specialist describes meetings with a client whom he helped to get rid of neurosis through the practice of silence.

The man came to the session, and instead of giving him the opportunity to speak, the specialist suggested that at the first session he simply be silent for an hour. I must say that the man was diagnosed with neurosis, he also suffered from constant headaches and insomnia.

At first he was very surprised at the proposed method, but did not object and remained sitting in the chair. After ten minutes, he began to constantly change his body position, bite his lips, cross his arms and legs. Another ten minutes passed: the man could no longer sit in one place, so he got up and sat down on a chair.

After a little more time, the man got up, went to the window and began to look at the street. Then he began drumming his fingers on the windowsill and glass. Moving away from the window, he began to walk around the office, sit down and get up again. When the session was over, he silently got up and left.

The next day he returned and asked for this session to be held in silence as well. The man was already calmer. He only got up a few times and walked around the office.

In subsequent sessions, the man came again and sat for an hour in complete silence, thoughtfulness, without getting up from his chair. After the fourth session, he said that he was literally amazed at the results. He calmed down, practically ceased to be nervous about any reason, began to sleep normally, and the headaches stopped. Before these sessions, the man went to many specialists, drank a bunch of pills, but there was no result. And only after the practice of silence - literally reborn.

The practice of silence

Experts say that a person spends a huge amount of energy and strength on his own speech. This can adversely affect the health and functioning of many organs and systems.

Indian yogis believe that a day filled with endless conversations takes almost a week of a person's life. And a day spent in silence prolongs life.

When a person is silent, the body relaxes, recovers faster and can successfully cope with some diseases on its own.

You don't have to go to see a specialist to practice silence. You can do this yourself. The duration of the practice is from three to seven days. Sometimes people spend up to a month in silence, but you need to be prepared for this in advance.

At the initial stage, a few days will be enough. One of the prerequisites is that no one and nothing should distract you from your practice. You can go to the country house or rent a room away from the city noise. Be sure to stock up on groceries and everything you need so as not to be distracted by shopping trips. The room should not have a TV, radio, telephone, computer.

When you start practicing, in the early days you may feel anxious, an urge to talk to someone, and sometimes even yell. This state must be experienced. If you do this, you will soon begin to feel inner peace and joy, see the world around you in a completely different way, you will have an extraordinary inner lightness.

For those people who do not have the opportunity to devote a lot of time to the practice, you can try to start with a few hours. Also, the practice is well suited for married couples who cannot get out of the conflict, constantly quarrel and are on the verge of divorce.
