Unfortunately, not everything we do brings us joy and pleasure. At times, life turns to us in such a way that can be called routine and routine. There are daily routines that cause boredom, such as washing dishes, cleaning the house, answering the same phone calls.

There are ways to perceive ordinary events in a different way, more emotionally and richly. There are people who feel deeply unhappy while cleaning their home. And there are those who get the greatest pleasure from the same. Someone is afraid of heights, and someone pays a lot of money to jump with a parachute from the tower. It's not just the event itself, but also how we experience it.

A meditation practitioner will say that it is possible to change the perception of certain situations if you begin to experience every moment consciously.

Ideally, you can feel that you are just enjoying your action, which seemed boring and uninteresting before. You will begin to enjoy it, discover new facets in it. If you wash the dishes, you will notice the sensations that passed by you in a hurry. For example, you may find it pleasant to touch the shiny, clean surface of the plates with your fingers. You have never noticed these sensations before! And all that just changed your perception and attitude to the old, seemingly well-known action.

To gain interest and change how you feel about what you are doing:

1. Choose what you have to do without much enthusiasm.

This can be cleaning the house, doing chores, doing maintenance, attending boring meetings, etc.

2. Begin to do the intended work, completely immersed in it.

For example, you do not just wash the dishes - you live for some time with your dishes, you breathe it, all your attention is directed to your action. You are here and now. You may want to perform this action even a little slower than usual.

3. Continue doing what you have outlined in a new way.

There should be no rush here. Maybe you even like the slower pace. Very soon (after 5-15 minutes) you will feel that your inner state has changed. You will feel more relaxed, at ease. Worries will go away - there will be no place for them in your consciousness - after all, it is occupied by another.
