The law of nature says: the strongest survive. The life of modern society is built on a similar principle. Those who have high self-esteem are capable of self-realization in any area. On the other hand, a person who does not believe in himself enough may be left behind, despite his knowledge and talent.
Instructions
Step 1
Compare yourself and … yourself in the past. Each person has their own path, so you should not be equal to other people. Otherwise, dissatisfaction with yourself, envy and a low assessment of your own abilities will become your constant companions. But constantly looking back and monitoring your own growth is a great way to believe in yourself. In addition, it is a strong incentive to continue to improve and reach new heights.
Step 2
Give up the whip. If you tend to scold yourself for any mistake, failure, defeat, and critical statements of strangers hurt your self-esteem, then you are unlikely to be able to raise the level of your self-esteem. Try to ignore the unconstructive comments of others, and look at your mistakes quite condescendingly. At the same time, do not forget to indulge yourself with "carrot" even for the smallest victories.
Step 3
Engage in self-hypnosis. Affirmations are positive statements that can change your outlook on your own personality, raise self-esteem. According to psychologists, such statements should be directed towards the present, but not towards the future. In this case, the result will not be long in coming. For example, “I am a unique person”, “I love and appreciate myself”, “I deserve the best”. These or other phrases can be written on a piece of paper and hung next to the bed. Then your morning will start on a positive note.
Step 4
Record your accomplishments. It is not necessary to receive a prestigious award or climb a high rung of the career ladder to feel like a really interesting and successful person. Sometimes the road to great success is made up of minor victories. Have you got rid of a bad habit? Were you able to brilliantly defend the project? Be sure to record such moments not only in memory, but also on paper. Such a list will inspire you to new achievements and inspire confidence in yourself.
Step 5
Be in good shape. Try to carve out at least a couple of hours a week for exercise. Physical activity will not only make your figure more attractive, muscles stronger, and movement more flexible, but also increase your self-confidence. In addition, moderately intense exercise will benefit your health.
