People often feel sorry for others. They see poor retirees, homeless people, abandoned animals, and a wave of pity arises inside. Sometimes it is very useful, because all charity is built on it. However, when expressed incorrectly, such a feeling does not lead to anything good.
Family pity
The little man does not need to be pitied often. Mothers sometimes say: "I will do it myself, when you grow up, you will work it out." And this position is very harmful to the character of the maturing person. He does not perform elementary duties, does not take responsibility. Mom does not try to harm, she only tries to isolate her child from heavy worries until a certain period, but thanks to this, important qualities are not brought up. In the future, the child will not want to work, it is highly likely that he will always live at the expense of his parents.
There is no need to feel sorry for an adult husband or son if he is left without work. Of course, he needs support, and even a short period of depression can be allocated, but it should not drag on for long months. Anyone can find a job, and indulging someone who does not want to earn is not worth it. Pity gives rise to parasitism, a person begins to live at the expense of others, and this suits him. Remove empathy and he will change, start to be realized in a new place.
Self pity
Some people like to complain about fate, talk about how unlucky they were with their parents or other circumstances. This is a way to shift responsibility from your shoulders to others. People usually have the opportunity to build their lives comfortably, but this requires work, study and effort. And sitting without money and work is much easier, blaming others for failure.
You don't need to feel sorry for yourself if something doesn't work out in life. First, you should look back and think about whether you are doing in life. Sometimes setbacks are due to the wrong field of work. If so, change your seat. Secondly, think about it, have you done everything for your success? Have you improved, developed, and done something every day to get better and get more out of the world? Realize that the amount of money and success depends on performance, and start doing something.
Pity for the weak
There is no need to feel sorry for the old woman or homeless animals. Your emotions will not make their life better. Express your feelings through actions. You can help an adult by going to the store for him, you can feed a dog or cat on the street, or even take them to your home. Today there is an opportunity to participate in charity events, make donations, visit orphanages and medical centers for the disabled, donate blood for transfusion and much more. Look for your own way of supporting other people, but do not regret, because this feeling can humiliate a person, make him very painful.
