Philosophical and spiritual questions about the meaning of life especially often come during a decadent mood. Personal failures, disappointment in life, loss of reference points - all this pushes a person to thoughts about why he lives at all, what is his purpose and what is the ultimate goal of his existence.

There is no definite answer to the question about the meaning of life. In search of his destiny, a person makes a subjective assessment of certain criteria, and each point of view has the right to exist. Expressing your position on this issue, of course, you should not cut off the shoulder and rush off the bat in an attempt to prove the only correctness of your view. It is necessary to be able to analyze and generalize, to reason logically, to conduct a discussion: the sprouts of truth can "hatch" in a well-structured dialogue.

Many people associate the meaning of life with doing good, creating something good and valuable. Without a humane attitude towards each other, society degrades, people become more and more like animals and less like people. The human personality cannot fully develop and live without society, in solitude. Therefore, as a social being, a person must take into account the interests of society, his social group, and remember his role in it.

A person is judged, in many ways, by his deeds and actions. Those who invest their energy in a socially significant cause, work primarily for the benefit of others, and not only for themselves, leave a strong memory of themselves among the people. For example, the memory of great public figures, travelers, discoverers, canonized priests, and famous scientists is strong.

It is difficult to live for others, because your shirt is closer to your body and you want to live comfortably and happily, but what is the point in living solely for your own pleasure, to acquire personal wealth? After all, no one even has a guarantee that tomorrow his "fairy tale" will not suddenly end at the most interesting place.

To live for today and not think about what will happen tomorrow, satisfy your whims, endlessly “indulge” your greed - how can all this make a person truly happy? Most probably not.

Religious teachings define the meaning of life as preparation for eternal existence in the afterlife. It is believed that a life lived with dignity, in accordance with the commandments and, as they say, "according to conscience", provides access to heaven and peace of mind after death. Meanwhile, supporters of other teachings suggest that the meaning of life is life itself in its momentary manifestations, the maintenance of biological and spiritual existence, the ability to find simple joys in everyday life.

Despite the intrinsic value and self-purpose of life as such, people often want to live for the sake of someone and in the name of something. Hence, a desire arises to find your place in the world and in society, to do something significant, to leave a mark after yourself. There is an opinion that everything good and kind, created by man, somehow "imprints" him on Earth. A person continues to live in his children and grandchildren, students, his work and in general in everything that he touched. Thus, realizing his creative potential, he continues to be present in the life of mankind.

Important components of the meaning of a person's life are his friends, like-minded people, loved ones, and interesting work. So it turns out that the "nerve" of life focuses on the person, his environment and the ways of interaction between them. Everyone will have to part with the world someday, so it is important to leave a good memory of yourself. And do not be discouraged, because even if it is difficult for you now, there is a chance that tomorrow or the day after tomorrow everything will work out.
