Instructions

Step 1

The first point is the specificity of the goal. It is important to clearly articulate what you want and define a specific result for yourself. Here you need to think carefully, because often a person, setting a goal, for example, to lose weight, cannot achieve it, because it is not entirely clear. You can lose weight, but at the same time disrupt the metabolism. Therefore, a more correct and adequate goal would be to achieve a healthy and beautiful body.

Step 2

The goal should be set in such a way that you can measure the results of success or failure along the way. Let's say you set your goal to increase income, and the criterion should be a specific figure, for example, one hundred dollars a week. Thus, you have the ability to automatically calculate the effectiveness of achieving the goal.

Step 3

The next thing that is very important is the achievability of the goal. You must be clearly aware that what you are striving to achieve can definitely be implemented. To do this, set a clear bar for the desired result. It is important that it be either specific or slightly overestimated, but in no way underestimated. The higher the bar, the higher the result achieved.

Step 4

Next, determine the significance of your goal, and what will bring you achieving it. Here it is also necessary to think qualitatively and formulate an answer. Let's say you want to clean up your house. In this case, the factor of purity may not always play a key role, since it is not important for everyone. But you can give a different meaning to your goal. For example, thanks to the order in the house, you will always find all the things that interest you, and you will not have to spend a lot of time looking for and clearing the rubble.

Step 5

Set a specific time frame for achieving your goal. This is very important, because otherwise it may happen that getting what you want will stretch for a long time, and the goal will already lose its relevance. If you want to go on a trip and need to save a certain amount of money, give yourself a limited amount of time to do so. For example, you need three months to collect so many thousands, after which you can visit such and such a country.

Step 6

And most importantly, do not forget that you should not put off until tomorrow what you can do today. Once you have decided on all the parameters of your goal, feel free to start implementing it.
