Dreams delight many of us, but what if one unpleasant dream haunts us every night? Sometimes it seems that it is impossible to cope with our unconscious, but in fact there are several ways to improve relationships with dreams.
Instructions
Step 1
Most importantly, in the afternoon, you should be careful about both your physical body and your mental state. Don't quarrel, don't be around people you don't like, or do things that make you feel terrible. Create maximum comfort for yourself in everything.
Step 2
Eat less, especially energizing and heavy foods such as meats and spices, and avoid alcohol. Eating dinner two hours before bed is a common advice to ease your body's work. But if you succeed, do not eat after 7 pm, even if you go to bed at midnight. So that you are not tormented by the feeling of hunger, drink a glass of kefir before going to bed or eat a couple of slices of low-fat cheese.
Step 3
Reduce evening impressions, especially if they are associated with any negative or overly intense emotions. Do not watch horror movies before going to bed or read mystical books that excite the imagination. Instead, listen to soothing music and read a few lyric poems.
Step 4
Take a relaxing bath before bed, such as chamomile or cedar. Aromatherapy daily with candles and incense sticks.
Step 5
Try to write down the dream that torments you on paper, trace its logic, and then try to explain what is happening in it. Perhaps you will notice a direct or indirect connection of sleep directly with your life and recent events. Understanding the causes of unpleasant dreams is already a step towards resolving the problem. You do not run away from the unconscious, but conduct a dialogue with it, accept it.
Step 6
Review your daily routine. Pay attention to sports, hardening, change activities more often, stay in the fresh air more. Perhaps excess energy accumulates in you, you do not give it a way out, and it appears in such a negative way in your dreams.
Step 7
It's good to have a pleasant fatigue and satisfaction before going to bed. To do this, take a walk for an hour or two, in the summer play badminton or with a dog, and when you come home, take a contrast shower.
Step 8
If on your own you cannot get rid of obsessive sleep, which becomes chronic over time, be sure to contact a psychotherapist. You may need a hypnosis session to identify the true causes of your unpleasant sleep, and only then you will have good nights with pleasant dreams.
