Some people want to change their lives, but they constantly postpone this moment. They plan to start on January 1, with the arrival of spring, after another birthday, but everything remains the same. Life itself will not change, you need to make an effort.
Instructions
Step 1
Map out what you are going to strive for. Describe your new life on a piece of paper, in detail and in colors. When writing, avoid using the "not" particle, so that everything is only positive. Indicate the advantages of such a life, what benefits you will receive for yourself, so that you have a visible incentive for what you need to strive for.
Step 2
Make a plan to achieve. Think about what exactly you need to change in yourself, your environment, or your job so that you can start a new life. Describe in detail each stage, what needs to be done and the approximate time frame. If you want to make more money, first improve your knowledge, use it to get a promotion or find a new job.
Step 3
Print out your action plan so you can hang it up so you don't forget about your aspirations. Follow your prescriptions carefully and follow through point by point. After completing one of the steps, cross it off the list and move on to the next.
Step 4
Reward yourself for even small advances towards your goal. Write down everything that you have achieved and how it affected your life. If you start jogging in the morning, note changes in your figure, well-being, and improved health. Reread these notes at the moments when you want to give up everything, and thanks to this, you will have new strength.
Step 5
Cultivate new habits. Force yourself to do what you want to get into the habit for a month. After about a month, you will not need to force yourself, since you will start doing it automatically. In particularly difficult cases, it takes more time, but do not despair and keep trying.
Step 6
Believe in yourself and your dream of a better life. Do not be discouraged if you face difficulties and obstacles on your way to success. Overcome all barriers, fight doubts and keep improving your life. More often represent in paints what you want to achieve in order to further motivate yourself for success.
