Who am I
First you need to understand who you are. To do this, take a piece of paper and write at least 30 answers to the question "Who am I?" Mother, wife, colleague, women's rights activist, soap lover, and so on. Discover all the versatility in yourself. Then turn the sheet over and write at least 40 compliments to yourself that reflect reality. For example, “I bake delicious cakes,” “I was able to quit smoking,” and so on. Set aside a day for this task when you are alone with yourself. For all its seeming simplicity, it will be difficult to describe yourself. After all, you were taught from childhood to treat yourself stricter and be better than others. Or, on the contrary, they were convinced that you would not achieve anything.
What am I afraid of
Look at yourself critically in the mirror. What is your hairstyle, what are you wearing. Then look into the closet. Surely there are several identical skirts or worn-out blouses in dark color. Ask yourself "What am I trying to protect myself from by putting on such things?" Look inside your soul and you will receive a truthful answer. Perhaps you are afraid of everything new or you are afraid to attract the attention of others. List the answers on a piece of paper in one column and the reasons for the fear in the other. Perhaps someone instilled in you the idea that you shouldn't draw attention to yourself. Or that you are bound to find yourself in an awkward position. Unleash a chain of imposed opinions. So you will not only get rid of the mental husk, but also get to know yourself better.
What I like
As a rule, what annoys others is also present in us. We just don't want to notice this in ourselves. Therefore, in order to establish contact with yourself, figure out why a person annoys you. For example, your friend loves to talk about her success. And for this you consider her an upstart, you start to get annoyed. Perhaps you yourself have always wanted to be in the spotlight, but you were inspired by the idea that you need to be more humble. If you work hard, your merits will be noticed and appreciated.
What is in my power
When life goes smoothly, then you feel comfortable, confident and calm. However, there are situations when you need to step out of your comfort zone. Then you have to look for internal resources, which you did not even know about, to solve new problems. Step outside your comfort zone to boost your self-esteem. Start with simple tasks such as going to the movies alone or relaxing at a vacation home without company.
What i want
Take a sheet of paper again and start writing all your wishes. There should be at least 100 of them. Do not think about whether they are feasible, just write. Then take a marker and highlight the ones that are most important to you. See what each highlighted "want" tells you. Dreaming of a big house? Then, perhaps, you want to have a large family, where you will gather in the fireplace room at a single table. Or vice versa, you dream of buying an island. This dream tells you that it's time to be alone. Think about what steps you can take now to achieve what you want.
