However, kindness extends not only to people, but also to those living beings who need human help. But why does kindness become a vital necessity for many people?

If we consider each person as a member of society, and a person is just a social being who lives and acts among his own kind, then kindness is what helps other people survive. It turns out that socially, the laws of natural selection do not work - most people do not regard others as competitors for a place in the sun. Moreover, kind people are always ready to help someone who is having a hard time at the moment. They are ready to come to the rescue and share with the rest of what they have, thereby increasing the chances of preserving the species.

Sociologists have a so-called theory of "innate empathy". It lies in the fact that in a normal person, the suffering of another person or a living being nearby causes mental suffering, no less severe than physical. It has been noticed that healthy babies start crying and behave anxiously if they hear a sick or hungry child lying in the neighborhood crying. Therefore, kindness in this case is explained by a selfish desire to make happy those who are around, so that you yourself feel comfortable at the same time.

But there are also examples that kindness is brought up in a person from childhood. If his parents taught him compassion and mercy, showed it by their own example, then the child, as a rule, grows up the same. A person who has been alien to these concepts since childhood can grow up angry and cruel.

Anger and cruelty eat away the soul from the inside and devastate it. An evil person has no loved ones and friends, he is forced to communicate only with those who also have a flawed soul.
