Up to 5 million Russians are now involved in destructive totalitarian sects. How to avoid their influence and protect loved ones from it?
There is an opinion that people who are sick (physically or mentally) or who are initially disposed towards it, are “crazy”, or simply stupid, get into the sect.
Statistics in this regard asserts the opposite. According to various estimates, in modern Russia from 800 thousand to 5 million people are involved in sects. 80% of adherents have higher education. A significant part are young people aged 18 to 27 years, often they are failed students: yesterday's schoolchildren who came to a large student city, but failed their entrance examinations. Frustrated and confused, they become a tidbit for recruiters.
Most likely, most of them are, obviously, strong and strong people in the prime of their physical strength. This is understandable - the sect needs young and fresh blood, there is not much to squeeze out of old people, their only asset is real estate. Young people, on the other hand, have their whole life ahead of them and it is possible, accordingly, to squeeze a lot out of them for a long time.
The largest number of sects operates in Moscow, in the Primorsky Territory, in the Khabarovsk Territory, in the Komi Republic, in the Penza Region and the Sakhalin Region.
Leaving a sect on your own is extremely difficult and often very risky. In many sects there is only one punishment for “leaving the organization” - death. But even in those where he remains, as it were, "on the conscience" of the departing, the statistics are disappointing: 1 out of 1000 adherents comes out.
Therefore, it is much easier and cheaper not to get into the sect and not let your loved ones get there. How to do it?
First of all, you need to understand that no one is immune from recruiters. They walk the streets, like everyone else, ride the subway and buses, like everyone else, they buy in stores, like everyone else, in many sects adherents continue to work in the same place where they worked before the sect, many take their children to ordinary kindergartens and schools, like everyone else - in a word, there is no such thing that normal people live their lives here, and somewhere out there, in Siberia, in the tundra, crazy pagans with the blood of babies on their teeth live far from normal people. If this were so, no one would get into the sect, who would want to deal with a wild, obviously inadequate looking person.
The bitter truth is that both the sect's adepts and recruiters are embedded in society. Moreover, some sects (their names are not specifically mentioned so as not to make additional advertising for them) so skillfully hide behind "good" goals, such as, for example, an anti-drug organization, that it is not difficult for them to get premises, advertise, freely declare themselves and etc.
So, the main thing that needs to be remembered is that anyone who falls into the sect can get into the sect - initially they were ordinary, normal, most ordinary people with their own goals in life, worries, families, work, and so on, everything that takes the life of the most ordinary, a normal person.
At the first stage, an acquaintance with the recruiter occurs (as a rule, at the initiative of the latter), and here such a phenomenon as deception during recruitment occurs.
Recruiting cheating is an essential part of recruiting into a sect. Not a single sect lures to itself with the words "we go to our sect, we will give money to the leader." Paradoxically, people get into a sect because we all want to improve our lives.
Yes, that's exactly it. All people want more money for themselves, for example, better housing, more interesting work, someone is not very happy with their health, someone may have some kind of addiction (alcoholism, drug addiction, games), someone wants more respect, someone is just lonely and wants to have some kind of environment … And so on.
Many people want to learn English - please, one of the sects is just luring them to their meetings with free English courses. A person seems to come to an English course (a normal person, ordinary, with his own goals, not sick, not "crazy", not physically and mentally weak), but in fact he comes to a meeting place of sectarians, where in English, of course, they talk, but they talk about the affairs of the sect. And thus, the person gets involved.
Many people want to improve their health. And on this desire very many sects parasitize, declaring that their product and their mentor is capable of curing any disease. And even not only the one that already exists now and causes suffering, but even those that still will be. A person seems to come to the diagnosis of a disease, but in fact he comes to a meeting place of sectarians, where, of course, they talk about diseases and health, but at the same time they suggest that things are very bad and only regular visits to such meetings can bring the desired result. And thus, the person gets involved.
Sects take advantage of our "Wishlist", these gaps of ours, our dissatisfaction, and when recruiting they hit these very points. Not a single sect lures to itself with its "direct" properties - assemblies, rigid regulations, manipulation of consciousness, and so on. Everyone pretends to be good and pretends not to be who they are, which is why it is called deception during recruitment.
It is best to explain with a specific example. One day on the eve of Valentine's Day, about a week before February 14th, a sect printed flyers advertising a free yoga of love session. They promised an interesting lecture on how to simultaneously practice yoga and strengthen relationships with a loved one, an educational film, a vegetarian treat and, most importantly, gifts to all participants. It was a collection of a typical yogic pseudo-Hindu sect.
By the way, yoga is a very popular "lure" of yogic sects. After all, many want to take care of their figure, stretching there, health, the stars tell how they stand in the "dog face down" pose, create their own channels … And on this wave, many of our compatriots also try to do yoga. And recruiters invite them to their meetings under the guise of group yoga classes.
So, remember: the sect always lures to itself with some kind of candy. Alas, not only children can not resist sweets.
