Any treatment involves convincing the patient of a speedy recovery. The doctor relies on the real action of the drugs and the improvement of the patient's well-being. Psychoanalysis, on the other hand, directs the doctor and patient towards long-term, laborious treatment. Success is not guaranteed, because it depends more on the person's trust in the doctor, openness and willingness to talk about problems.

What difficulties will arise in the study of psychoanalysis

Difficulties arise in teaching psychoanalysis, since there are few clear examples. The doctor can show the symptoms of the disease by example, and in psychoanalysis, an analytical treatment takes place, based on a dialogue between the doctor and the patient. The psychoanalyst controls the patient's stream of consciousness, directs him in the right direction, makes him remember small details that will be important for treatment.

Can a disease be cured with words alone?

Words are the power of humanity. They force us to act, they have a high (if not the highest) degree of suggestion. But observation of the conversation between the doctor and the neurotic is impossible, therefore the conversation takes place in strict confidentiality. This is the only way to adjust the patient's openness, because he came to share something intimate and overcomes himself.

It turns out that we will receive information about psychoanalysis from "second hand", that is, from a teacher who has impressive experience in psychoanalysis. But how do you know if a psychoanalyst lecturer is giving reliable information?

Every argument, experience, every observation can be tested on oneself. Psychoanalysis is studied in studies of the personal mental state. You become the subject of analysis - this will allow you to verify the veracity of the processes described in psychoanalysts.

Why psychoanalysis is accused of being unscientific

This problem arose due to education (any directions and steps). It so happened that most of the scientific materials we study have a foundation, an experimental and theoretical basis. For the basis of psychoanalysis, it is partly customary to take philosophy, which not everyone is ready to perceive and understand. Psychoanalysis is a part of psychiatry that operates separately from the anatomical, chemical or physiological causes of the disease, that is, without any visual confirmation.

Any treatment involves convincing the patient of a speedy recovery. The doctor relies on the real action of the drugs and the improvement of the patient's well-being. Psychoanalysis, on the other hand, directs the doctor and patient towards long-term, laborious treatment. Success is not guaranteed, because it depends to a large extent on the person's trust in the doctor, openness and the desire to talk about mental problems.

2 "hideous" statements of psychoanalysis:

1. Mental processes are unconscious. But isn't psychology the science of the content of consciousness? The definition of psychoanalysis represents conscious and unconscious processes as two equal parts of the discipline. Sigmund Freud recognizes unconscious mental processes as a new orientation in the scientific world, promising to prove this throughout the course of lectures.

2. Sexual attraction plays an important role in the occurrence of nervous and mental illnesses. It also participates in the creation of cultural and artistic values. A person, entering society and participating in the creation of culture as such, acts by satisfying needs, in particular - sexual or, on the contrary, replacing sexual needs with spiritual ones. One way or another, our mental state depends on the satisfaction of sexual desire. Because of this, people view psychoanalysis as morally disgusting and immoral. Therefore, with a reluctance to accept the unnatural, affects arise, motivating to constantly look for facts and arguments that challenge the scientific nature of psychoanalysis.

We have learned about some of the problems that arise in the study of psychoanalysis. We are waiting for everyone who is ready to overcome difficulties in studying this discipline at the second lecture.
