To begin with, remember an important rule, which may not be directly related to the development of deduction, but is the key to success in any endeavor. This rule says: be genuinely interested in what you are learning. If this interest is superficial and only in order to impress someone with their help, it will not work to develop deductive abilities. You must be genuinely interested in learning.
Step 2
To train your brain for deep analysis, make it a rule to get to the very essence of the material being studied. If you are studying a new subject, do not slide on the surface, but explain to yourself where this or that rule or theoretical construction came from. If your field is far from learning, you can apply this rule to any material you read, even tabloid newspapers. As you read the article, ask yourself the question, what are the motives of the behavior of the people about whom it tells, what hidden meaning may lie behind their actions.
Step 3
Develop flexibility in your thinking. Remember that any problem may have more than one solution, and your task is to find as many of them as possible. When you see only one way out of a situation, do not rest until you find ten more. At first, it will be difficult for you to search for them, but over time, it will become easier and easier for you to find several options for any task.
Step 4
Learn to generalize the information received, to see the general in particular and vice versa. The ability to see typical features in a specific case is the essence of the deduction method.
