What is an alter ego

Of course, this state of a person is characterized by the presence of a second, different personality, but is this personality real, as in one mental disorder? These and other questions must be answered.

Without a doubt, an alter ego is a mental state of a person, in which he has a completely different, different personality, which is reflected in literature, cinema, art. The reason for the development of this state is the person's non-embodied dreams, his vital needs, which they did not receive due to certain reasons for their further development. But the following problem arises: is the alter ego a type of mental disorder, and as a split personality - is it dangerous?

A split personality is characterized by the presence of a different type of person. That is, a person who thinks completely differently, with different stereotypes and with different values in life. As for the alter ego, it is most likely not a mental disorder. Why?

The thing is that the second "I" of a person, in this situation, does not go beyond the personal framework. It is simply located at the subconscious level, in a person's dreams. It can be an imaginary actor or poet, or a musician like him. This is a "false" personality, a "false" split. It is not dangerous, and cannot lead to any serious changes in the psyche of someone who has an alter ego.

This is a very interesting state, which in science today requires more serious comprehension and study. The dark sides of the alter ego have not yet been explored, explored. They are still just the fruit of research for many scientists and psychiatrists.
