Abstraction is very useful. This is the ability not to be distracted by external stimuli when it is necessary to concentrate. Some know how to abstract away easily enough, others are given a tremendous effort of will.

Step 1
Try to protect yourself from external stimuli as much as possible. Much depends on your type of perception. If you are of the auditory type, get earplugs. If you tend to focus on your feelings, avoid being in the same room with unpleasant people when you need to focus.
Step 2
Sometimes it is difficult to abstract away because you do not take good reasoning without examples, or a lot of unpleasant news falls on you. Then the consciousness gets so tired that it clings to any external stimulus, just not to concentrate on information that is difficult to perceive. In this case, imagine that this is not happening to you. There is some information that needs to be memorized, answered and forgotten. As simple as a combination of words. Only this approach will allow you to somehow abstract from reality and focus on difficult data for you.
Step 3
To learn to abstract, talk to yourself about what you need to focus on. Draw the most generalized diagrams. Try to connect what you need to focus on with the data you already know. You also need to understand why you are doing the required work. A clear understanding of goals allows you to cope with difficult tasks. Imagine that you have to explain the topic to a child, this will force you to simplify and reach the most important thing, distract from the insignificant and see the essence.

The correct positive attitude helps to abstract. Look for the positive in everything that you usually perceive negatively. Accept any situation that arises as the only possible one.
