Each of us who heard the saying “Do not repudiate from the bag and the prison” thought that it would not touch him. But, unfortunately, the traditions of inmates are passed down in our country from generation to generation. There is, of course, an explanation for this, including the historical prerequisites. Whatever it was, but the book by F. Krestovoy "How to survive in the zone" remains quite popular and has already been reprinted several times. We will try to present it in the form of tips-theses.

Step 1
From the first words, the author inspires the reader with the idea that the path to the desired goal - to go free, begins as soon as you cross the threshold of the camera. The experience of people who survive in extreme conditions, those who managed to visit Stalin's camps, to take part in hostilities, should be useful here. The book just summarizes the personal experience of the author and those who experienced it even before him.
Step 2
At the time of your arrest, when the police force open the doors, you have time to destroy anything that can harm you and innocent people, including notebooks, computer diaries. Don’t give the money and documents that are required to be given - the money will be divided between the participants in the arrest, and the documents will be dumped in a common heap and lost. And do not hope for justice, for the fact that you will be released, this automatically means someone's mistake, and no one will admit it.
Step 3
Do not panic at the first interrogation, it can be carried out without a lawyer, so it is better to be silent, the subsequent ones should already take place in the presence of a lawyer. What are your installation data - what is your name, where you were born, where you are registered. Do not forget that it was noted in the protocol that you are asking for a lawyer from the moment of arrest. Try not to react to bluffs, intimidation and play off, to withstand the pain of possible torture. Study the laws. Law enforcement officers who try to get a confession out at any cost do not feel very comfortable with legally savvy defendants and are intimidated by them.
Step 4
In a pre-trial detention cell, too, do not talk a lot and do not open your soul to someone who is eager to be friends with you. There are always a lot of decoy ducks, which are provocateurs, the eyes and ears of the operatives.
Step 5
In prison, study the vocabulary, which is quite specific in each. Take a closer look at the orders that are established in it. Do not meddle with anyone with conversations or acquaintances. Only strong personalities are able to keep silent, learn this. Judging by the conclusions made by the author, you practically will not meet good people behind bars. Prisoners create many problems for themselves and successfully overcome them. You better take care of yourself and your education.
Step 6
There are many wild customs in prison, but they are easily abandoned if they promise any benefit. Therefore, one should not blindly adhere to such taboos and unwritten rules. Your task is to maintain your health, reputation and sanity. Exercise, swing, it never hurts you, neither in the zone, nor in the wild.
Step 7
Stay personal. Strive for freedom, master information, learn. Find yourself a good lawyer. Do not be discouraged, but act and gradually move towards your goal - freedom. You will not get better in prison and you will probably need further rehabilitation. But it is in your power to make it short.
