It happens that we have known a person for a long time, but we constantly take offense at him, since his behavior is sometimes simply outrageous. And you can't stop communicating, and it's difficult to maintain a relationship. However, if you look at this problem from a medical point of view, it will be much easier to survive all the "oddities" of a loved one. What is sociopathy and how is this psychological disease characterized?

The most important sign of sociopathy is that a person is too passionate about his own nature and requires the same attitude towards himself from others. Sociopaths often use deception and manipulation in their relationships with others. Oftentimes, lies are perceived by them as a game: "I wonder if I can fool this smart guy." That is why it is useless to appeal to the conscience of such people - theoretically, of course, they know that cheating is bad, but they do not feel any remorse about this.

Sociopaths are alien to qualities such as compassion and empathy, so they don't like to bother themselves with other people's problems. They do not know the feeling of fear. Research carried out by scientists has shown that people with sociopathy can gaze in complete cold blood at shocking photographs, while "normal" people have difficulty breathing and quickening their pulse.

Sociopaths tend to jump from target to target without completing a single task. They do not seek to make new acquaintances and do not particularly value old connections. Such people feel the need for friends only when they need financial or other help.

Sociopaths are true masters of disguise. They know how to be nice and charming if they know that these qualities will help them achieve the desired result. Their defiant behavior is not always associated with a desire to attract attention. It is quite common for sociopaths to violate laws and generally accepted rules because they think they are stupid and unacceptable for themselves.

Behind the strong "armor" of sociopaths are deeply unhappy people who are always unhappy with everything that happens around them. The higher the level of intelligence of such a person, the more difficult it is for him. Painful pride poisons their lives.

If you can persuade a sociopath to make an appointment with a good psychotherapist, that will certainly be a real win. Otherwise, only patience and love will help your loved one to make life easier.
