Anti-femininity, firmness, control - all these are signs of male dominance. Social development presupposes the manifestation of dominance in men.
A man at all times showed himself as a leader, boss, manager. From childhood, it is men who are driven into the fact that they need to be tough, that men do not cry, that all their actions must be held accountable. It is from childhood that this trait of domination arises.
There are two types of domination: one is within the framework of the rational (it is even considered a positive trait of a man's character), the other goes beyond these boundaries. In the second case, domination already becomes a kind of violence.
Domination in a group of men
The manifestation of rigidity, decision-making in the male team characterizes dominance. Each company has its own leader, who has seized the position of decisive everything. This kind of power seizure can occur as a result of several factors, among which the following are most often:
- fights;
- threats;
- a manifestation of strength;
- money;
- quick decision making.
Dominance manifests itself in any age group, in any social stratum. Perhaps this is at the genetic level. Even in ancient times, there were tribal leaders, kings, emperors, distinguished by their rigidity, strength and intelligence.
Childhood Domination
In childhood, the parents set the child's qualities, which can subsequently help in domination. It all starts with the development of independence, in independent decision-making, independent responsibility for the decisions made.
In collectives, children are constantly competing - this is also a manifestation of domination. After all, every child tries to win, to achieve the maximum. Even in team competitions, the leading figures are clearly visible.
Domination in the family
In family relationships, a man dominates the fact that he makes all the important decisions: buying a large amount, moving, going on vacation, and others. Also, a man solves difficult issues.
In the role of a parent, it is the man who is strict. Mom is always softer, more tender, and the father can spank with a belt.
Another sign of male dominance in the family is provision. It is the man who brings the main income to the family. If a woman takes on this role, then this very much hurts the pride of a man.
Abnormal dominance
There is also anomalous dominance. Excessive cruelty and rudeness can be called abnormal. Especially in family relationships. A man can swear at a woman, grumble. But it is not uncommon for male screams to turn into beatings. Thus, a man with an unbalanced psyche is trying to assert himself in a relationship. Moreover, both the wife and the children can become victims.
