More and more research shows that the male brain is actually very different from the female brain, and even works differently. Scientists say this may explain things that annoy you on men.
Why do men maintain absolute cleanliness in their cars, but behave sloppy at home?
According to Dr. Simon Baron-Cohen, who studies male and female brains and has written a wide range of essays about his research, the male brain is better adapted to perceptual mechanisms, while the female brain is more focused on empathy. This is why men are so proud of their car, while women try to create family comforts, including a tidy home, among other things. Another explanation comes from a 2007 study by British psychologists from Oxford. They argue that male drivers perceive the car as an extension of themselves. Women are much more focused on their own body, so they see the car as a separate object. Therefore, men look after their cars as if they were themselves, but the sink in their kitchen, overflowing with dirty dishes, does not bother them at all.
Why do men sleep with women they never want to see again?
In this case, scientists recall the old evolutionary theory, according to which men are coded to "sow" their semen, while women are looking for a partner who will protect them and their child. Physical differences may also play a role. During sex (and especially orgasm), the female brain undergoes much more significant neurochemical processes than the male brain, according to Lisa Diamond, professor of psychology and gender studies at the University of Utah. Biological anthropologist Helen Fisher confirms this: “The hemispheres of the brain are less connected in men than in women. This leads men to the ability to focus on one thing at the same time, and focus on the goal, while the female brain directly connects the process with feelings. Therefore, as a rule, they combine sex with love."
