What is self-hypnosis? This is a kind of pleasant and comfortable state, like a trance, into which a person independently introduces himself. Self-hypnosis is available to absolutely everyone, but it must be borne in mind that at the first attempts to perform such a technique, a person may encounter certain difficulties. For example, not to experience a lightning-fast result, or it will take a very long time to sink into a hypnotic state. However, such nuances become thinner and disappear if you engage in self-hypnosis regularly and purposefully.

Self-hypnosis is inextricably linked with self-hypnosis. Self-hypnosis is a process of laying, forming a new program at the conscious and subconscious levels. Self-hypnosis is usually based on affirmations - certain short attitudes that gradually bring changes in a person's life.

When deciding to try self-hypnosis, you first need to figure out what are the rules for performing such a technique, what should be taken into account, what you need to be prepared for.

What is important to do before putting yourself into a hypnotic state

First, one must clearly understand, realize that self-hypnosis is an extremely positive state. This technique is not capable of harming either physical or mental health, it is not capable of aggravating problems or causing illness. Of course, if a person suddenly does not set such goals for himself. However, nevertheless, self-hypnosis is usually resorted to with the desire to develop, improve, in order to get rid of bad habits, learn to resist stress, or plan to let in any positive changes in their life.

Secondly, you need to remember: everything that happens in a state of self-hypnosis is good. Do not panic if any unusual or unusual sensations appear. Do not be afraid that you will not be able to get out of the trance state. Any bad or negative thoughts and attitudes must be discarded. The consciousness cleared of "debris" will allow you to more easily and deeper plunge into a relaxed hypnotic state.

Thirdly, before starting to engage in self-hypnosis, it is necessary to clearly define the goal. Why is this state necessary at all? What do you want to get as a result? Perhaps self-hypnosis is aimed at treating psychosomatic diseases or at getting rid of a physical symptom? Or is a trance state necessary to get rid of tension and bring inner peace into a harmonious state? The reasons may be different, but it is important to clearly identify them.

Fourth, as soon as the goal of self-hypnosis is clear, it is necessary to prepare in advance for yourself positive attitudes / affirmations or specific words that will allow you to plunge into a state of relaxation and bliss. It is important to remember: there should be no “not” particles in the installations and there should be no double meaning, they should be formulated as concretely as possible.

Fifth, for a faster entry into a state of self-hypnotic trance, you can use special music tracks, the sound of a metronome, the ticking of a clock, the sound of rain on glass, and so on. Sounds must be looped, without sudden changes in volume and without an unexpected change in key. It is best to listen to the selected audio with headphones. Choosing music or sounds is necessary, of course, in advance.

Basic rules for self-hypnosis

  1. You need to settle down in an extremely comfortable environment. So that it was warm, dry, and so on.
  2. You can put yourself in a trance state both lying down and sitting. At the initial stages of the practice of self-hypnosis, it is still recommended to sit comfortably in a chair, and not lie down on the bed. So the likelihood of falling asleep in the process will be lower.
  3. It is recommended to dim the lights.
  4. Aromatherapy combined with self-hypnosis can be very helpful.
  5. You need to ensure yourself peace of mind for at least an hour: turn off the phone, warn family members not to be disturbed, feed pets in advance, and so on.
  6. In the process of performing the technique of self-hypnosis, it is important not to be distracted by any extraneous influences, you must try not to think about business and problems, stop the internal dialogue. Self-hypnosis will be easier for people who are engaged in meditation.
  7. The first step is complete relaxation. Only in such a state of silence of the mind and calmness of the body can one begin to “write down” positive attitudes in consciousness and subconsciousness.
  8. At the end of the self-hypnosis session, one should not rush and abruptly "emerge" from the hypnotic trance. It is necessary to give yourself time to gradually swim to the surface, breathe deeply, come to your senses.
