Instructions
Step 1
Draw a circle on a piece of paper, then divide it into several identical sectors. The circle represents your living space. The number of sectors should be equal to the number of certain areas of life that are significant to you at the moment. For example, sectors can symbolize love, parenting, career, finance, leisure, self-development, etc.
Step 2
Rate each sector on a scale of 1 to 10 according to the importance of that segment to you, using the center of the circle as the starting point. Enter numbers in each sector. As a result, you will get a kind of "wheel" of your life priorities.
Step 3
Then, using the same principle, rate your satisfaction with the state of affairs in each of the areas. Be honest with yourself, otherwise all work on setting goals will go down the drain.
Step 4
Analyze the resulting "wheel". Those areas of life where the greatest discrepancy in points was found between their importance to you and satisfaction with them require study and correction. It is in these areas in the first place that the immediate goals should be formulated to correct the situation and align the "wheel".
Step 5
Choose no more than one or two areas to work with at a time. What steps can you take to increase your satisfaction in these areas by at least a couple of points? After all, work with the "wheel of life balance" is carried out precisely to revise your goals and draw up a plan for your own development for the near future.
Step 6
After applying this technique, after a while you will find that making decisions has become much easier. After all, you know your goal, and your actions are filled with meaning. If you find yourself worrying a lot while thinking about your goal, chances are you are on the right track. Remember to return to the wheel from time to time to check how much your life is changing for the better.
