Whether we like it or not, we have to adjust to the expectations of other people. Does this bring a lot of happiness?.. But, it would seem, there are "white crows" - so they do not adjust; live as they want - that's who is really happy! Is it so? To be persecuted and misunderstood, rejected by people. This is the path of either the strong in spirit, or the narrow-minded, sick people.

Who is most satisfied with life?
Who is most satisfied with life?

To adapt to others or to live only to please oneself are half measures

1. The life of people who are too afraid of rejection and condemnation is subject to external requirements: they enter a "prestigious university" in order to get a "demanded specialty"; try to live according to the standard scenario "was born - studied - got married - had children - died surrounded by a large and friendly family"; try to avoid conflicts, do not stand out as "upstarts".

They have "everything": a career, a salary, a car, a summer residence and barbecue on weekends. But, having reached the next life crisis, usually such people experience emptiness, they are not happy with anything in their life, they cannot really understand what they really want.

2. The life of rebels and "white crows" who value their I too much and are not ready to sacrifice it in order to find a common language with other people is an eternal struggle, a permanent conflict. They tear the templates, interrupt from cover to cover, live in the past or even beggarly, but at the same time continue to do their own thing, to live as they themselves think is true. They violate all standard rules and foundations.

The outcome of the life of such people is unpredictable. Sooner or later, society can discern talent in them and rehabilitate them posthumously. But this may not happen. Defending his own, a person loses the opportunity to truly realize the value of what he defends, remains rejected and misunderstood. The realism and adaptability of such people are usually extremely low.

So who is happier with life than anyone else?

He is not at all the one who is in the middle between the described two extremes. The middle is just the "zero" between the two "minuses". In the middle there is a person who could not express himself, but also could not please the society. The life of such a person is meaningless and difficult.

Truly happy becomes someone who knows how to combine extremes in their maximum expression:

  • He realizes himself to the maximum and pursues his personal goals, to the same extent it brings benefits to society.
  • Cooperates with other people, but does not bend under them.
  • He goes his own way, but shares the results of his labor with others.
  • He proves his benefit to people and proves his right to go the way he goes.

This is what a real leader does. And he becomes truly accepted and realized, and also satisfied with his life.
