Unfortunately, well-mannered men are now rare. To become a true gentleman, you need to follow not so difficult rules.
The appearance of a gentleman
Of course, a true gentleman is always neat in his clothes. He will not allow himself to put on rumpled things and unclean shoes. Moreover, he has good taste, thanks to which he is always elegant. The gentleman wears a tie with pleasure, and the tip of a perfectly clean handkerchief peeps out of his breast pocket.
A gentleman should not neglect perfume. You need to choose one expensive, but unobtrusive scent, which will always be associated with his image.
Impeccable manners
No matter how impeccable a man's appearance is, only good upbringing and impeccable manners can make him a true gentleman. The gentleman will not use vulgar obscene language. He should always have a benevolent facial expression, a pleasant smile on his lips and absolute composure.
A gentleman must be well educated to be able to carry on a conversation on a variety of topics. True, in this case, it is better to avoid talking about religion and politics, so as not to accidentally offend the interlocutor. In addition, you need not only to have the gift of eloquence, but also to be able to listen carefully to others. If an insult is inflicted on a gentleman, he will never get into a fight, but will always find the right words to put the insolent person in his place.
Attitude towards a woman
Of course, the best qualities of a gentleman should be shown in the presence of a woman. At the same time, his gallantry should extend not only to his beloved or favorite girl, but also to all other ladies, regardless of whether he is familiar with them or not.
A gentleman can be a person who always lets a lady go ahead, opening the door in front of her, gives her a hand to help her get off the bus or stay on a slippery road, gets up when a lady enters the room, pulls back a chair for her before sitting down to dinner himself table, offer his umbrella to shelter from the rain.
In the presence of a lady, it would never occur to him to make obscene jokes or vulgar compliments. In a male company, a gentleman in no case will allow himself to discuss his chosen one and, moreover, criticize her.
Unfortunately, true gentlemen are rare these days. It would be just wonderful if they not only knew theoretically how to become a gentleman, but in life they always had decent behavior.
