Many people have a fear of public speaking. In order to overcome it, they turn to psychologists. Although sometimes a person who is unsure of himself can cope with this complex on his own, you just need to work on yourself.
Instructions
Step 1
Give up the idea that if you make any mistake during your speech, it will be a serious oversight and you will be despised. Not a single person is immune from oversights, even speakers who have been performing in front of the public for decades are negotiated. You don't have to be perfect, because you are an ordinary person. Even if you make a mistake, nothing serious will happen, so many simply will not notice or understand it. On the contrary, many speakers consider their mistakes to be a blessing, since they never make them again.
Step 2
Replay your performance in your mind. On stage, you must look confident, pronounce all the phrases correctly. Drive away from yourself thoughts that you will stutter, blush and get nervous. Rehearse your text in front of a mirror in private, then in front of your family. This will help you automatically remember the text of your speech. This way you can program yourself only for great results.
Step 3
If you are fluent in the topic of the report and can give examples from your own life, do not hesitate to add your observations to your communication with the audience. Listeners will feel your sincerity and desire to convey the necessary information to them. To do this, look at the audience kindly, believe me, people do not expect your failure at all, they just came to listen to the performance.
Step 4
Before an important day, be sure to have a good rest, sleep well. If you are having trouble falling asleep, drink warm milk and honey. Play calm music, meditate, and do breathing exercises. Gradually, you will calm down and fall asleep naturally.
Step 5
Before performing, do not take any stimulants (alcohol, coffee, etc.), on the contrary, it may interfere with your speech.
Step 6
As you speak, look in the audience for faces that express goodwill and interest. Imagine that it is for them that you have prepared your report.
Step 7
Sometimes the fear of speaking in front of an audience stems from a previous bad experience. In this case, you will need the help of a psychiatrist, since, perhaps, you simply cannot do without his services and hypnosis.
