Now, with the help of the Internet, everyone can find out who his classmates and friends of student years have become. And in the end, an interesting fact may come to light: many of those who studied in grades at school and at university have achieved financial success in business or have built an excellent career in the civil service. But those who were an excellent student and on whom great hopes were pinned do not grab the stars from the sky, or even beggarly at all. Why is this happening?

Real life is not a school or a university

In any educational institution there is a clear and understandable system of rules, following which, a student can always count on A's and on the praise of teachers and mentors. But when the time comes to go beyond the walls of the alma mater, the diligent students (excellent students) have an epiphany. They realize that no one will praise them anymore. And in general, the ability to learn something and retell it to a teacher in a quality manner does little in practice. On this basis, many excellent students may have an identity crisis, as a result of which their career may not work out from the very beginning.

But C grade students do not have such problems. They are, as a rule, more resistant to criticism (accustomed to it), not so afraid to take risks and make mistakes. And in general, triplets in a school certificate can only say that a person had some other, more important than study, interests and hobbies in which he was very, very successful.

For excellent students, school and preparation for lessons and classes are the main thing that they live by. And when the study ends, a void arises, which is not clear how to fill.

And one more important point worth mentioning: excellent students are mostly perfectionists, and this trait does not really contribute to success. In our fast-paced world, sitting for hours on one simple task, trying to achieve perfection, is guaranteed to be among the laggards. During this time, people who are easier to treat everything will be able to complete five or ten such tasks (albeit not perfect, but who cares at all). And if the excellent students are not able to rebuild, then they will definitely be fired.

In addition, excellent students are used to doing everything honestly, relying only on their knowledge. And this is also not the best tactic in real life. On the other hand, C grade students often sin by being cunning, twisting themselves, resorting to cheating, thanks to which they receive grades that are acceptable to themselves. Thus, in their minds from childhood, the conviction is fixed that deception is a very effective tool that allows you to achieve what you want without significant effort. In life, this conviction, oddly enough, helps. If you look at it, in many life situations, deception plays the role of a kind of cheat code. It allows you to "cut corners" and bypass more honest competitors (with no serious punishment for deception usually occurs).

Everyone deserves what they deserve?

Alas, such cases when a former excellent student becomes an alcoholic, lives with his mother, works as a librarian or even as a janitor, and does not claim anything more - are not uncommon. But when the conversation comes about such people, somehow the language does not turn to assert that they deserve it, and in general everything happens exactly as it should. It often seems that the fate of these people could have turned out differently, that their potential was not revealed, not entirely through their fault. It seems that if society were some other, less rigid and indifferent, then perhaps these people could realize their talents and abilities to the fullest.

As for the C grade, then, of course, with the help of some of their personal qualities, they can break into leadership positions, but not the fact that they will be truly competent leaders. And incompetence, whatever one may say, is not good, in the long run it is destructive.

In addition, the reason for the success of former C-students may be simply an exaggerated desire and ability to profit at the expense of others (at the expense of the same executive former excellent students). But can this really deserve respect?

The conclusion from all this suggests the following: the knowledge and skills that the education system provides (provided that employment is not guaranteed at all) may in fact be useless. And this plays into the hands of the C-grade students, who, as if feeling this, do not treat their studies very conscientiously. On the other hand, the efforts made by excellent students to get their A's, given the current state of affairs, are depreciated. And such devaluation is quite capable of starting the process of turning yesterday's excellent student into an outright loser.
