It so happens that you really want something sweet … And we are not talking about 1-2 sweets or cookies after dinner, but when the sweet is absorbed uncontrollably and in large quantities.
The root cause of the irrepressible craving for sweets is the lack of complex carbohydrates in the diet. Basically, they are found in grain bread, cereals, some types of legumes, in pasta made from durum wheat. Of course, simple carbohydrates, which contain sugar, give you a feeling of fullness and satisfaction quickly, almost immediately after consumption. However, insulin quickly converts this sugar, and the feeling of hunger reappears.
There are some practical and easy-to-follow tips to help trick your appetite and cope with sugar cravings.
If you still can't give up sweets, instead of sweets or muffins, it is better to dissolve dark chocolate on a cube. It is necessary to keep a piece in your mouth for at least a couple of minutes so that the signal reaches the brain that the body has received sweetness.
Nuts and dried fruits, fruits in sugar and cream are also excellent substitutes. Of course, you shouldn't get too carried away with them, but such snacks will bring much more benefits than harm.
For snacking on sweets, you can substitute fruit chewing gum. Chewing gum, it seems, a person gets sweets and does not load the body with excess sugar.
In order to avoid overeating sweets, you need to properly organize your diet. Too long breaks between meals, provoke to eat more sweet and fatty foods. Meals should be fractional, at least five times a day, but in small portions.

- if, nevertheless, a breakdown occurred and the sweets are eaten, you should not reproach yourself and give up, it is better to refrain from sweets in the following days;
- do not encourage yourself with sweets or seize problems with them;
- you should not expect quick results, weaning from sweets is a difficult and lengthy process.
