To understand whether you need to know your own worth, it is useful to generally decide what this means. Does a person have a price? And if so, how is it expressed? Knowing your worth is a well-established expression, which means that a person has an idea of what he wants from life, what his true goals and motives are.

Do I need to know my own worth and why

Knowing your worth means knowing and understanding yourself. Be clearly aware of where you are striving. It is this knowledge that allows a person not to make mistakes and avoid rash actions, not to agree to what does not suit you.

It is known that only those people achieve success who know what they want. Therefore, if you want to get something in life, then you need to know your own worth. This is an important psychological attitude: first of all, think about what you need, and only then about what others want from you.

It is customary to think that the “price” of a person is his successes and personal qualities, it is they that determine how much he can be satisfied with himself. But in reality, everything is arranged in such a way that first you need to form a “price” for yourself, which will then allow you to achieve success. It is the correct opinion of yourself and sufficient respect for their goals and desires that allows people to get what they want.

How to "raise your price"

Here, as in many other things, everything starts small. Small desires that you allow yourself to realize, lead to the fact that you begin to claim more and more serious things, gradually conquering the heights of life. To realize this, imagine a person who constantly yields to others, even in the smallest things. He is constantly afraid of upsetting relatives, does not dare to contradict his boss and does not argue with colleagues. Will he be able to cope with finding a more prestigious and highly paid job? Will he be able to get rid of unnecessary relationships or rein in presumptuous colleagues?

It is important to understand that the "price" of a person entirely depends on himself. Nobody can decide for you how good you are. But raising your price does not mean that you become selfish and will not do anything for others at all. It simply means that you choose when you help them.

It is also important here to understand the difference and connection between the words "want" and "must". If in your life you are guided only by the word "must", then it will not be easy for you to find a place for the embodiment of even the smallest desires. But if you think about what you want and, based on this, build a list of what you have to do, then there will be no contradiction between these concepts.

You must give yourself the right to do exactly what you want. At the same time, it is important to take responsibility for your actions as well. By making some wishes come true, you know how it will end. Knowing your worth does not mean doing everything rashly, closing your eyes to important things.
