Determining the degree of love is not easy in principle. It is not known how this love is measured, on what scale and in what degrees. For people who are looking for themselves in faith and faith in themselves, it is difficult even to imagine what love for God looks like and what should be.

Step 1
According to church canons, love for God is a kind of perfect, sincere, pure and immaculate feeling. It is absolute and gives a sense of, if not security, then of divine presence. If you become imbued with love for God, all fears and worries are dispelled.
Step 2
Don't go out of your way to love God if you are initially skeptical about religious beliefs. Look for as many sources as possible that could tell about the divine essence, carefully read the Gospel (or the holy book of the religion that you consider close). Get interested, associate with enlightened people or priests. Try to understand how they fell in love with God and came to religion.
Step 3
Do not neglect visiting the temples. In the Orthodox faith, if you go to church, it means that you are going to visit God. Before that, try to clear yourself of worrying thoughts. Pray and listen to prayers. This is a conversation with God, thank him and be honest during confession. For representatives of Eastern religions, meditation serves as a kind of communication with God.

Love itself is associated with tolerance, with the desire to know the truth. There should be no place for selfishness or sinful thoughts. A person who hates does not know true love for God. This perfect feeling should be absolute, coupled with mercy. It excludes aggressive or dismissive emotions.
Step 5
Remember that love for God begins with love for your neighbor. Give your love and the brightest feelings to your loved ones, without leaving them in reserve. Loving, you do not lose anything, but only fill the heart of another person or any living being with light and warmth. Love is the purest feeling that can be felt by all living things on earth. Be kind, work on yourself and think more about God. After all, where there is love, God himself is.
