Anyone had to go through difficult situations, but it is much harder not to experience their own misfortune, but to see a suffering friend. In order not to feel powerless in the grief of a friend, be prepared to provide him with a little psychological support.
Instructions
Step 1
Let the person speak. Listen carefully to what happened to him. You won't be obliged to give him advice in a difficult situation, but your presence alone will help.
Step 2
A person's mood can change in the process of "confession", he will relive what happened anew. Be prepared to see him crying, laughing, trembling with anger.
Step 3
Hug him, but only after he finishes. If the person refuses to hug, do not impose.
Step 4
Offer your help if you can. But do not insist if he refuses to support.
Step 5
Take the person for a walk. Don't leave him alone.
Step 6
Encourage a friend to seek the help of a professional, psychologist or helpline operator
