Psychologists identify several age crises during the life of each person. All of them mean a transition to a new stage in life and a different awareness of oneself and one's capabilities. In each age crisis, there is a reassessment of values that were previously significant. The most conscious and decisive ones occur during adolescence and adulthood.
Instructions
Step 1
Adolescence is a special period. He is called rebellious. At this time, the child realizes his adulthood and realizes that he has greater opportunities than before. The most important and decisive thing is the realization that now the teenager himself is able to make decisions. And these decisions may be different from the opinions of adults. The values that were imposed by parents and others undergo a rigorous selection and rethinking. This is what leads to unbridled and uncontrollable behavior. Adolescents try to create their own value system, which sometimes becomes directly opposite to that accepted in society.
Step 2
The crisis of 30 years is a more meaningful and serious period in the formation of an individual. At this time, there is an awareness of life and a change in ideas about it. This is a transition from adolescence to adulthood, from a time of dreams to an understanding of the mundane and everyday life. Awareness of reality and the correlation of one's capabilities becomes the main acquisition of this age. There is a change in personality and assessment of achievements. Often young people realize that they were delayed in childhood and have reached very little by this age. The generally accepted values become significant: family, close people, a successful career, etc. The search for the true meaning of life begins.
Step 3
At the age of 40-45, a person achieves certain success: in a career, in a family, a certain status in society. And at this moment there is a comparison of the desired with what he came to in the end. The achieved results are not always satisfying. And in this case, some people decide on a radical change in their life path. The first age-related sores push to think about the transience of life. And then there is a selection of values. The most significant of them are highlighted. Forty-year-olds have studied this life well enough and have a clear idea of themselves and their capabilities. The values of the outside world fade into the background, spiritual values begin to acquire paramount importance. At forty, there is something to tell the young generation.
Step 4
Age 55-60 brings another crisis. During this period, there is a global awareness of his entire life. This is an attempt to mentally return to all the intimate corners of your past and take out experience from it. This is the time when a person acquires wisdom and is ready to share it. At this age, the main values become: love, empathy, care, avoidance of suffering and pain.
