Dissociative disorder is a fairly rare disease in psychiatry. It makes a person dangerous to society. The main reasons for its occurrence include abuse and heredity.
Multiple personality syndrome or dissociative disorder is rare. It is expressed in the fact that at least two personalities can exist in a person at the same time, and in most cases more. Such people are dangerous to society, and at the slightest suspicion of this disease, they must be hospitalized.
The main threat is that the person begins to feel bad about himself. Over time, pseudo-personalities begin to suppress the main personality of a person, he has suicidal thoughts, unmotivated aggression. During the "absence" of the main personality, its prototypes can do whatever they want, committing various crimes. Moreover, they can be of different sex, age, race, etc.
The main symptoms of this mental disorder include sleep disturbances, memory lapses, sudden mood changes, loss of orientation in space, seizures, and aggressiveness.
Unfortunately, this disease is practically incurable and a person will have to constantly, to one degree or another, be under the supervision of doctors.
The main reasons for the occurrence of this kind of disorder include the following:
- the experience of violence in childhood;
- heredity;
- cruel treatment;
- chemical and psychological dependence.
Anything, a sound, a familiar thing or a situation, can provoke the "switching" of one personality to another. For the period of treatment, it is necessary to avoid stress and systematically visit specialists.
