Why does the Lord send sickness?
At this difficult moment in life, the main thing is not to get discouraged, but to think. No, not about what kind of person is a good person and why such tests are sent to him. After all, how many people who live asocial, but they do not get sick so hard …

How to help a seriously ill patient?
Naturally, this is the necessary proper care and attention, sealed with love. It often happens that sick people become capricious, you need a lot of patience so as not to break down at them and not shout. It's harder for them than for us. But besides taking care of the body, there is the main thing - taking care of the soul.
Every Orthodox person knows that the very first aid to a sick person is prayer for him. Sincere, from the very depths of my soul, tearful. Prayer in your own words, at home or on the road. The Lord hears us everywhere.
The prayer book contains special prayers for the sick. There is also a Canon for the sick, which is read by a relative or good acquaintance. The peculiarity of this canon lies in the fact that the reading person makes a vow to the Lord to fulfill something if the patient recovers. For example, donate a certain amount of money. Or order to paint an icon or perform some kind of spiritual feat. But it will be necessary to fulfill it.
Prayer in the temple will be a good help:
- it is worth ordering a magpie about health. Moreover, it is good to order several magpies in different churches;
- reading the Psalter about the patient's health will also strengthen him spiritually;
- Prayers are simple and holy to certain saints who are addressed in ailments: Healer Panteleimon, Archbishop Luke of Crimea, as well as any icon of the Mother of God.
The participation of an ill person in the sacraments of the church:
- in confession, at which the priest frees a person from sins;
- in the Communion of the Body and Blood of Christ, which is a balm for a wounded soul cleansed of sins. The priest can be invited to the house in order to introduce a sick person who cannot come to the church on his own. Relatives should not hesitate to invite a priest. Our duty is to take care of the soul of the sick person;
- in unction, which is the strongest helper after Communion in getting rid of an illness.
Providence of God
It so happens that they prayed for a sick person, they confessed him, often received Communion, but he died anyway. The main thing in such a situation is not to grumble at God. Our earthly desires are often not in line with the will of God. The Providence of the Lord is not given to anyone, this is not a human matter of the mind.
Yes, we want our relative to get well. But it is possible that his partial recovery will not be a joy. A completely lying person, for example, requires a lot of self-care. And not everyone can do it.
Or it happens that babies become seriously ill. And what sins are they for? First, for parenting. And secondly, we do not know who this baby will grow up to. Maybe his soul will not withstand earthly temptations, and he will deteriorate so much that his own mother will not be happy with him. It is so difficult for ordinary people to understand, that is why they say that everything is the will of the Lord.
