We are often tormented by fears and more often than not, unreasonable. Fear of darkness, heights, confined spaces poison our lives. Meanwhile, there are simple ways with which you can, if not become a brave, then at least overcome your fear.
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, determine if your fear is justified or unreasonable. The fear of real danger should not be fought. Try to neutralize this danger, and if it is impossible to do this, seek help from those who are specialists in such matters. So, for example, you got scared at the thought of a fire. Listen to yourself, maybe you heard a burning smell, maybe your wiring is smoldering somewhere, and your body reacted correctly, giving an alarm?
Step 2
Do not rush to fight fear, even if, at first glance, it is completely unreasonable. It may be that you instinctively sense the proximity of a threat, although at the moment there is no immediate danger. Are you scared to walk along a deserted dark street? That's right, this street is now deserted, but it may very well be that an ill-wisher is hiding around the corner.
Step 3
Now let's talk about really imaginary fears. If you are "overtaken" by such fear, try to overcome it using the following method: stand upright, straighten your back. Raise your head high. Place your right hand between your chest and abdomen. Place your left hand on your heart. Inhale not deeply and quickly. Hold the air for a few minutes and exhale quickly. Repeat the procedure 3-4 times. At the same time, mentally say to yourself: "I'm not afraid, I'm not afraid!"
Step 4
But do not try to fight alone with the imaginary fears that torment you on a regular basis, and already acquire the character of a phobia. Do not hesitate to see a psychologist. The psychologist has many techniques in his arsenal to help you start leading a fulfilling life without nightmares. The sooner you see a specialist, the sooner you will feel fear-free.
Step 5
And remember, fear is a normal reaction to the approach of danger. And fears should be dealt with only when they are pathological.
