Emotions are sensations and experiences that are little understood: anger, euphoria, excitement. Depending on the level of development of a person, they lend themselves to more or less control and manifest themselves with varying degrees of severity. The success of a person and the opinion of others about him largely depends on the ability to manage their emotions.
Instructions
Step 1
Suppressing your emotions is the first step towards managing them freely. Take a deep breath, hold your breath, and count to ten before bursting into another fit of rage at home or work. Exhale. Are you sure that the conflict is so serious that you need to bang your fist on the table and shout at the interlocutor? Surely there is a peaceful way to resolve the situation.
Step 2
Gradually, the anger will show less and less. Over time, try not just to suppress emotions, but not to allow them into your consciousness. Before you feel the urge to vent your rage, repeat to yourself three times: "I am calm."
Step 3
The same principle applies when managing other emotions. If, for example, you are overwhelmed by fear, hold your breath for a few seconds, exhale, assess the situation soberly. Scary? Yes. Dangerous? Maybe. Is it feasible? Sure! And three times convince yourself that there is no fear in you.
